Privacy policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- We never ask for your marketplace passwords. The extension works in your own signed-in browser tabs.
- We keep what it takes to run your account: your inventory, listings, buyer chats and sales.
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. There are no ad or analytics trackers.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or for it to be deleted, at any time.
Who we are
Relistly runs relistly.com, the Relistly app and the Relistly browser extension (together, "Relistly"). It helps resellers list items on several marketplaces at once and keep those listings, buyer chats and sales in one place. Questions about this policy go to hello@relistly.com.
What we collect
Your account
Your name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store only a one-way hash of it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
What you put into Relistly
Your items and listings: titles, descriptions, prices, costs, sizes, categories, notes, the photos you upload, and your settings, such as the style notes for AI replies. If you import a spreadsheet (a Google Sheet or a CSV file), we keep the rows you choose to import.
What the extension brings in from marketplaces
When you connect a marketplace, the extension reads pages of Facebook Marketplace, Depop and OfferUp in tabs where you are already signed in, and sends what it reads to your Relistly account:
- your listings there: titles, prices, photos or their links, and whether each is live, sold or ended;
- your listing stats, such as views and likes;
- your conversations with buyers about your listings: the buyer's name as the marketplace shows it, the messages and any offers;
- your sales: the item, price and buyer, and for sales you ship yourself, the shipping address and contact details the marketplace gives you.
The extension reads only those marketplace sites and the spreadsheets you choose to import. It does not read your other tabs or your browsing history. It uses your existing sign-in on each marketplace, inside that marketplace's own pages, and that sign-in never leaves your browser.
What Relistly does for you
An activity log of what Relistly did on your behalf (for example, posted, relisted, synced or imported a listing) and changes you made in the app, so you can see what happened and when.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan and its status, never your card number.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address to tell you when Relistly is available.
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting provider records requests to relistly.com, including IP addresses and browser details, to keep the service running and secure. We use your IP address to limit how often the AI features can be called.
What the extension keeps on your device
The extension stores, in your browser's extension storage, the sign-in that lets it talk to your Relistly account, the jobs waiting to run, and its settings. Removing the extension deletes them.
How we use it
- to run the features you use: cross-listing, relisting, importing, syncing listings and sales, and the inbox;
- to write AI replies and drafts when you ask for them;
- to run your account and plan, answer your questions, and keep Relistly secure.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of you or your buyers.
AI replies
AI replies are off until you turn them on. When you use them, we send the buyer conversation, the listing's title, price and description, and your reply style notes to Anthropic, which writes the reply. Anthropic processes this as our service provider and may not use it to train its models.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run Relistly, each for its part of the service:
- Vercel hosts relistly.com and stores your photos.
- Neon hosts our database.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Anthropic writes AI replies, when you use them.
- Google signs you in, if you choose Sign in with Google.
When you tell Relistly to post, relist or reply on a marketplace, the extension sends that content to the marketplace from your browser, and the marketplace's own privacy policy covers it there. We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to a buyer of Relistly if the business is sold, under this policy.
Cookies
relistly.com sets only the cookies that keep you signed in, which the app needs to work. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe's checkout pages set their own cookies.
Photos
Photos you upload are stored under your account at long, random, unlisted web addresses, the way marketplace photos are. Anyone who has a photo's exact address can open it, so share those addresses only as you would share the photo.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and everything in it within 30 days, and it is gone from our backups within a further 30 days. Waitlist emails are deleted when you ask.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Every read and write of account data is checked against the signed-in account by the database itself, so one account cannot reach another's data. No method is perfect; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit your items, listings and settings in the app at any time. Email hello@relistly.com to get a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. We answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, in California, the EU or the UK), you may have further rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your data, and to complain to your data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.
Where EU or UK law applies, we use your data to provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you), to keep it secure and improve it (our legitimate interests), and for AI replies only when you turn them on.
Your buyers' information
Buyer names, messages and shipping details come into Relistly because you, the seller, bring in your own conversations and sales. We hold them for you to manage those sales and use them for nothing else. If you are a buyer and want your details removed, contact the seller or email hello@relistly.com.
Chrome Web Store user data
The extension's use of the information it receives follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use that information only to provide and improve the features you use, never transfer it except as those features, security or the law require, and no person reads it except with your permission, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires it.
Children
Relistly is for sellers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
